This ‘Pays’ offers a patrimonial wealth linked to the rural traditions and the Gascon culture. From valley to valley, from the borders of Tarn & Garonne and the Agen area to the Pyrenean foothills in the South, you will discover a range of exceptional landscapes.
On foot, by bicycle or on a horse, take advantage of the numerous footpaths and of those to Santiago de Compostela in order to discover an architectural and historical heritage: route of the ‘Bastides’ (fortified towns) and to sites with character (Cologne, Gimont, Mauvezin…), the route of the Cadets of Gascony, castles of Terraube, Gramont, bleu de Lectoure (blue pigment produced from woad in Lectoure …)
Land where garlic, melon, prunes and foie gras par excellence are produced, some outings also offer gastronomic discoveries such as the ‘Ronde du Foie Gras’ (foie gras tour) on the hills of the Gers.
The astronomy festival in Fleurance will take you between Earth and Heaven.
